Kingsdale is a dynamic, exceptionally popular and progressive school that has invested £30m to develop an award winning educational learning environment. At our specialist academic Sixth Form, students study a combination of respected traditional, artistic and alternative advanced courses. Average class sizes are approximately 20 across all subjects and significantly smaller in the Sixth Form.
'Pupils' personal development and welfare is outstanding because of the care and attention that staff pay to making pupils' time in school productive and safe.' Ofsted 2017
Kingsdale provides exceptionally rich opportunities to challenge students of all abilities including options in Year 9 to study Triple Science, Latin, Economics and Psychology and the opportunity to study two languages from Year 7. Kingsdale attracts many able students. We operate a condensed or accelerated Key Stage 3 programme of study to meet the particular needs and aspirations of all of our students and their families. The school offers a wide variety of academic subjects including 5 optional courses selected by each child. Average class sizes are approximately 20 across all subjects and significantly smaller in the Sixth Form.
Kingsdale’s ICT facilities make us one of the most technologically advanced schools in the country. Students have access to PCs, Apple Macs, laptops, wireless technology and a Virtual Learning Environment.
'Pupils' time in school is enriched by the wide variety of opportunities they are offered in which they can develop and explore skills that match their aspirations. The curriculum supports outstanding progress because leaders have built in opportunities for pupils to be successful within and beyond the classroom.' Ofsted 2017
All students at Kingsdale are offered the opportunity to take part in a ‘Trips of a Lifetime’ programme. Subsidised excursions to amazing destinations such as Japan, Namibia, Harvard and Yale Universities in the USA and the French Alps are organised every year.
