The Business Studies department is a very successful within Kingsdale Foundation School. Business Studies allows our pupils to relate their experiences within the real world to theoretical concepts!
Our students already know much about the fundamental principles of Business Studies but do not have the theoretical understanding to underpin it. Our courses help students to investigate and analyse real business opportunities and issues to construct well-argued, well-evidenced, balanced and structured arguments. Students also develop and apply quantitative skills relevant to business, including using and interpreting data.
Whether it is law, accountancy, marketing, human resources management, research and development, project management and many more, business Studies offers learners the opportunity to understand the importance of business.

The Enrichment Programmme
Every year as part of our enrichment program students who study GCSE Business Studies will participate in two days of activities, where students work exclusively with external agencies on enterprise projects. Also the controlled assessment project in Year 10 and Year 11 is based on real businesses which will be visited by students. In the past we have visited places like Cadbury World, Alton Towers etc. Here students get to see the theoretical elements of what they have learned in practice, not to mention eat lots of free chocolate or go on endless rides……..!
Business Studies in the Sixth Form
