Enrichment

As well as following dynamic and exciting programmes of study, Sixth Form students also undertake an extensive enrichment programme, designed to assist them with their applications to higher education and to develop into well rounded and accomplished individuals.

Enrichment activities take place throughout the week and include access to a variety of guest speakers, workshops and interactive presentations from the worlds of higher education, the arts, sport and academia. The main focus however is on Wednesday afternoons where a wide and varied programme is offered. The breadth of offer is such that students may choose to select an  option that aids their passage through UCAS, explore fine art and popular culture, gain accreditations in a sporting activity or volunteer at a local charity or business. We invite you to take this opportunity to download the current enrichment offer booklet.

Typical activities in the current offer include:

Community Volunteering, including with our local partner primary schools
The Duke of Edinburgh Award
Debating Society
Russell Group - History, Politics and Philosophy
The Sports Leader qualification
Refereeing and coaching qualifications
First Aid Mentoring
Music ensembles
Recording studio
