Trips Day and Fun Sports Day - Monday 23rd July 2018

Annual Trips Day, Fun Sports Day and other exciting activities taking place in school on Monday 23rd July 2018

Parents are reminded that Monday 23rd July 2018 is a non uniform day for students.  School will finish for all students who are remaining in school at 11.50am.  Lunch will be available for those students who wish to have it.

All students in Years 7-10 & 12 are expected to attend school on this day.

Annual Trips Day

On Monday 23rd July 2018, students will have the opporutnity to attend our usual end of year celebration trips. Please refer to the letters issued separately for further details.  

Lower School students attending the trip will report to the POD and Upper School students attending the trip will report to the Year 7 dining area on arrival at school for registration, prior to boarding their coaches for departure.

Return times to school will vary and parents will be notified of any changes or delays via parent text.

Fun Sports Day & Other School Based Activities

All students not attending a trip on Monday 23rd July 2018 will have the opportunity to take part in our Fun Sports Day event led by the PE department at Mary Datchelor Playing Fields or sign up for other exciting school based activities. 

On arrival at school, students not attending the Annual Trips Day excursions will report to the New Sports Hall for registration and sign up to their allocated group.

Fun Sports Day Event

The event will run throughout the morning with medals being awarded to the winners of individual events. 

Students who sign up for this event will need to ensure they bring trainers and a PE kit to enable them to take part.

  • Egg and Spoon Race
  • Cone Race
  • Space Hopper Race
  • Sack Race
  • Three Legged Race
  • Wheelbarrow Race
  • Welly Wanging
  • PE staff vs Students - Plank Challenge

Team games events:

  • Tug of War
  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • Kick Ball Rounders
  • Lacrosse
  • Tennis
