A Tribute to the Hon. Alderman of Southwark, Mrs Norma Gibbes

On the afternoon of Friday 22nd October 2021, we were delighted to hold a very special event to celebrate the amazing contribution made to Kingsdale Foundation School over a 25 year period, first as a School Governor and then Chair of the Governing Body, by the Hon. Alderman of Southwark, Mrs Norma Gibbes.

This wonderful celebration included fantastic musical performances by current and ex-Kingsdale students, along with personal tributes to Mrs Gibbes’ work as a school Governor, but also as a pioneering local Headteacher and elected Councilor. Mrs Gibbes was joined at the celebration by members of her family, as well as her friends and ex-colleagues.

The staff and students of Kingsdale Foundation School would like to take this opportunity to once again extend our own heartfelt thanks to Mrs Gibbes for her tremendous support and dedication to the school over many years.
