A Level results 2026: eleven students take three A* grades or more

Over half of all grades were A* or A. More than 350 of them. Over 80% came in at A*-B.

75% of the year group's university applications were accepted by Russell Group universities. At least eleven students hold places at Oxford or Cambridge.

Miles Enkelmann took five A*s: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, EPQ. He reads Engineering at Cambridge. John Toohey joins him there for Computer Science.

Ella Khaldoun reads Experimental Psychology at Oxford. Isabella Ayora Vanegas and Verity Glover take up places there too, in French & Spanish and English & Spanish.

Daniel Horner's three A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics take him to LSE for Finance.

UCL takes four: Dayee Islam for Civil Engineering, Leonardo Gutierrez Parada for Mathematics and Statistical Science, Michal Magiera for Music, Summar Perkins for Fine Art.

Warwick takes two: Long Do for Computer Science, Rageh Alam for PPE.

Rohan Shah reads Economics at Manchester. Carlton Ngugi, Economics & Finance at Queen Mary. Anna Gyvel, French & Politics at Edinburgh. Chloe [surname to confirm], Exercise and Sports Science at Exeter. Olachi Maduka, Animation at UAL. Charlotte Stratford, Film Making at Leeds Beckett.

Musicians and artists in the cohort go on to the Royal Academy of Music, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Tonmeister programme at Surrey, the Slade School of Art, Goldsmiths and Glasgow.

"What left an imprint on me from Kingsdale was the dedication of the teachers," John Toohey writes. "When I had a stress attack before my first Further Maths exam, my Heads of Learning were so good at listening to me and offering helpful advice that ultimately saw me through it."
