Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence. The principal focus of science teaching in at Kingsdale is to develop a deeper understanding of a range of scientific ideas and skills in biology, chemistry, and physics. Pupils should begin to see the connections between these subject areas in Key Stage 3 and dive deeper into their area of interest at GCSE and A- Level.
Science lessons are designed to support and enrich students’ learning through an innovative and exciting approach to the subject. Lessons take place in laboratories and regularly involve hands-on practical work.
